Voyage sans encombre, et en dormant...non mais vous avez bien vu l’heure??!...
A l’arrivée direction mon hôtel, en fait une petite chambre dans une «pensione», qui rappelle les petites chambres d’étudiant. Pas super confortable, mais pour deux nuits, ça a son charme.
Première visite en début d’après-midi, en retrouvant Guillaume à la Fontaine de Trévi.
Découverte ensuite du Vittoriano et du Colysée, avant de prendre, oui, on est là pour ça, la direction du stade olympique!
Early departure at 6:25am from orly, where I meet guillaume aka nexus6 on the message board! GUillaume was also among the "victims" of th trip to Athens... Smooth trip, we slept all through...well did you check the time???...
When I got there I headed for the hotel, in fact a little room in a "pensione" which reminded me of the small students' bedrooms. Not really comfortable, but for two nights, it can be charming.first visit at the beginning of the afternoon, I met Guillaume at the Trévi fountain.
Then discovery of the Vittoriano and the Colyseum, before taking, yes that's what we came here for, the direction of the Olympic stadium!
Mon 3é stade olympique en quelques jours, après ceux de Berlin et Munich. Et c’est très impressionnant.
Sur le principe du 1er arrivé, 1er servi, j’arrive à me faufiler dans la «pelouse or», et je me retrouve le long de l’avancée.
Le plus dur va être de gérer la chaleur! Et les marchands ambulants d’eau, de cornetto, vont m’aider à remplir ma mission de survie.
Je me rends compte rapidement que les Italiens sont très impatients. L’ambiance, comme la température, sera très chaude toute la soirée!!
My third Olympic stadium in a few days, affter Berlin and Munich. And it's very impressive!!!
On the principle of "first come first served" I mznzge to sneak into the "golden area" and find a spot along the ramp. the hardest part will be to resist the heat!!! People selling water, cornetto, will help me through this survival mission.
I realise really fast that the italians are really impatient!!! The atmosphere, like the temperature, will be very hot all night!!!
Le petit «hic» de la soirée est que sur les billets était inscrite l’heure de 21h30 pour le début du concert, et qu’il a débuté à 21h... Plusieurs spectateurs sont donc arrivés en retard, ou a tout dernier moment.
Tout le monde était là pour le nouveau changement dans la set-list, avec la 1ère apparition de «Little Soul», chantée par Martin!
Il enchaîna avec «Home», merveilleusement chantée et poursuivie à la fin par le public. Grand, très grand moment.
La très belle prestation du groupe, et ce public, formidable et chaud de bout an bout, ont formé un ensemble très show et une bien belle soirée romaine. (allez, un petit oubli de Dave au début de «In your Room», mais Martin a compensé par un délire à la guitare à la fin...
Et toujours ces petits signes de Dave, qui montrent qu’il savoure, il profite de chaque concert, de chaque instant.
Le retour sera assez long, les transports romains n’étant pas les plus organisés ni les plus pratiques. Cela permet un debriefing avec Guillaume.
Journée touristique à Rome!! Une journée qui débutera à midi, le temps de récupérer du voyage de la veille, du concert,...
La tête encore pleine des douceurs du stade olympique, j’ai parcouru quelques quartiers de la ville, que je ne connaissais pas.
Retrouvailles avec Guillaume, lui aussi parti à l’assaut de Rome, dans l'après midi.
De beaux concerts, des stades mythiques, des belles villes à découvrir, mon projet «40 ans» a bel et bien pris son envol, en ajoutant les rencontres, comme Xavier à Berlin, ou Guillaume à Rome.
D’autres dates, à commencer par Milan dès demain, réserveront elles aussi leur lot de surprises, en espérant qu’elles soient le plus souvent bonnes!
The only" problem" will be the the fact that it was indicated that the show would start at 9:30pm but it started at 9pm... a lot of people arrived late, or at the last minute.
everybody was ready to hear the change in the set list and the first apparition of "little soul", sung by martin!!
He continued with "home", beautifully sung and also sung by the audience. A great great moment.
The beautiful performance of the band, and this audience, fantastic and warm from beginning to end, turned this roman evening into a fantastic show time! (well a little mistake from Dave at the beginning of "in your room"" but martin made up for it with a delirious guitar solo in the end...
And always those little signs from Dave, showing he is enjoying every show, every instant.
It will be quite long to return, the roman transportation system isn't the most organised and practical. It allowed me to have a debriefing with Guillaume
A touristic day in Rome!!!I started my day at noon, just enough time for me to recover from the trip of the day before, and the show...
The head still full of the sweet memories of the Stadium Olympico, I walked through some of the neighborhoods of the city, which I had never visited.
I met Guillaume in the afternoon, also ready to take the streets of Rome.
Beautiful concerts, mythical stadiums, a lot of beautiful towns to discover, my project "40th birthday" really took it's flight, adding great encounters, like xavier in Berlin or Guillaume in Rome.Other dates, starting with milan tomorrow will alos prove to be full of surprises, hoping that they will be mostly good!
